There are tried and true methodologies to raise funds and to recognize and steward donors; most of these methodologies have been employed by Concord Hospital Trust throughout the years.Over the past three decades, we have expanded our outreach, staffing and volunteer engagement. And, every year, we have been fortunate that people have given more. Our region is evolving, the marketplace ever-changing, and there are new donor prospects to reach out to. Still, the essence of the work remains the same.We will always need committed volunteers, like Kathy Tsouros and Mary Boucher, to support the work of the Trust. We will continue to work to attract engaged Trust Board members, like Kim Burgess and Steve McManis, to govern our practice. Dedicated and skilled staff members will pursue new initiatives to attract people to give to support Concord Hospitals vital work. And, special campaigns will be organized to bring new services and facilities to respond to our community members needs. The work of Concord Hospital Trust is rooted in relationships and connections. While there are a multitude of digital opportunities to reach out and raise funds, we will always remember that true philanthropy is not a transaction, but rather a human exchange of values. We will also always remember that trust is foundational to that human exchange; therefore, being attentive to donor intent and consistent stewardship practices will be important to success in the decades to come.Philanthropy to support Concord Hospital has come a long way over the years. Looking in the rearview mirror we see the path to success ahead.'
