b'FALL 2021pickyourown.org/nh Naturally SweetHomemade Applesauce INGREDIENTS:8 medium/large sized New England applespeeled, cored, chopped1 cup water3/4 teaspoon cinnamonINSTRUCTIONS:1.Place apples, water and cinnamon into a large pot and stir. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer and cover. Maintain a low simmer for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the apples collapse easily when pressed with a fork.2.Once the apples are fully cooked, remove the pot from the heat. For chunky applesauce, mash the apples in the pot using a potato masher. For smooth applesauce, blend it in a food processor or blender, or use a hand-held immersion blender and blend directly in the pot.3.This applesauce is delicious served warm or cold. Enjoy!TO NOTE ~ Choose naturally sweet apples such as McIntosh, Gala, Fuji, Golden Delicious and/or Honeycrisp and you wont need to add sugar to this applesauce.
