b"Faced with an unexpected medical issue in June 2025, Donna Hosmer briefly considered traveling from her home in the Lakes Region to seek treatment in Concord. I was so struck by how wonderful everybody was.Hosmer recalls that the anesthesiologist who worked on her case commented on the strong sense of community that permeates the CH-L campus. The comment reminded Hosmer of why she elected to stay close to home to seek treatment. Her unexpected and extended stay reinforced the critical importance of having a high-quality hospital nearby, as it allowed her family, including her husband and four children, to easily visit and support her as she recovered from surgery.You want to be able to get well with the people you love really close by, Hosmer says. Having reliable health care close means everything when you need it.
