This is measured by patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, interdisciplinary communicationand teamwork, low staff turnover and national recognition(for example, Magnet, Joint Commission Disease Certification).NAON developed the Orthopaedic Nursing Excellence (ONE)Award to applaud those units. The ONE Award recognizes professionalism in nursing practice through demonstration of exemplary care for patients, achievement in quality outcomes, collaborative interdisciplinary work environments and professional growth opportunities.NAON was pleased to award Concord Hospital OrthopaedicInstitute with the ONE Award. The application submitted bythe orthopaedic team at Concord Hospital was detailed, impressive, and demonstrated strengths in nursing leadership, professionaldevelopment and a commitment to excellence.The Concord Hospital Orthopaedic Institute staff go above andbeyond every day to provide the very best orthopaedic care topatients in our community.
