b'18 CONCORD HOSPITAL TRUSTMeetthe New Trustees Concord Hospital Trust welcomed four new members to its Board of Trustees at the start of the year. Concord resident and longtime volunteer Barbara Jobin, Administrative Director of Operations for Pharmacy Services, Respiratory Therapy Services, and Clinical Nutrition Services Regina Martin, PharmD, hospital volunteer and community member Sean Skabo, and cardiothoracic and thoracic surgeon Dr. Alexandru Vaida joined the 15 other members of the Board on January 1, 2024.Barbara JobinFor more than 30 years, Concord resident Barbara Jobin worked as a speech-language pathologist in the Concord School District. Between her job and raising her two children, Jobin found time to pursue many volunteer opportunities, including at Concord Hospital Health System. Most recently, Jobin has joined the Trusts Board of Trustees. For many years, she served on the Philanthropy Committee, raising money for several programs at the health system. The Jobin family, including husband Roger, granddaughter Ruthie, and daughter Ellese, also raised money to endow a bench in honor of Barbara and Rogers late son, Trent, in the health systems Rooftop Healing Garden. As a Concord School District employee, Jobin served as the director of Project SEARCH, a program that matches special education students with internships to help prepare them for future employment. The health systems Concord campus is the host site for this program and offered a variety of internships for the students.I really appreciated what the hospital did for my students, Jobin says. When I started to help out with the Philanthropy Committee, it was a way for me to give back as a thank you to the hospital.Through that initial exposure, Jobin became more involved, joining the committee that planned the annual Evening en Blanc events (to benefit low-income and underinsured patients) and the Womens Giving Circle, and giving her time anywhere else she was needed. Jobin also has given back to her community as an active member of the Concord Junior Service League, Concord Garden Club, the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, and by helping to plan conferences and workshops for the New Hampshire Speech and Language Association. The foundation I had was great, Jobin says, and I love helping the programs and people at Concord Hospital Health System.Known for her willingness to help in any way possible, Jobin thrives on the chance to brainstorm ideas and help execute them. She sees her seat on the Trust Board as an opportunity to help educate others about the resources available to them.Im proud, she says, to help people in our community who benefit from allthe services Concord Hospital Health System provides.'
