Skabo also has served on the Trusts Philanthropy Committee, took over as chair earlier this year, and became a member of the Trust Boardof Trustees.Ive always loved the mission of the hospital and knew Id like to get more involved, says Skabo, who lives in Boscawen with his wife, Stacey, and the couples dog. Concord Hospital Health System gives back so much to the community, and I wanted to be a part of that.In addition to his involvement through volunteerism, Skabo has witnessed firsthand the excellent standard of care received by members of his family, and he is grateful to support the outstanding medical professionals who care for his loved ones, friends, and neighbors. The importance of supporting the Trust, he says, is to keep the health system vibrant, growing, and an important part of our community.Skabo has served his community in a variety of ways. He currently sits on the board at Havenwood Heritage Heights in Concord, where he was recently elected secretary; he is the chair of the Business to Education Committee for the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce; and is the public relations officer for the Hopkinton Rotary Club.In his professional life, Skabo is a commercial loan officer,who first got involved with the Trust while working at Merrimack County Savings Bank. Beyond that, hes anactive outdoorsman, who enjoys skiing, rock climbing,and ice climbing. Skabo has traveled extensively through South America and Central America to explore hisoutdoor pursuits.
