b'3 DaveWhitePhoto.comAs I write this letter, I reflect on the exhilaration and intensity of my first year with the Trust and the Concord Hospital Health System. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to be part of a system that has a profound impact on those I care deeply about. It is truly a privilege to work with suchamazing peopleevery day, doing work we love, and raising funds to provide care to those who need us most. This past year, Im proud to share that the more than $100 million in charitable funding through Concord Hospital Health System provided impactful care to approximately 700,000individuals, with $3.4 million in gifts and commitments raised through the Trust. As chief advancement officer, I could not be more thankful for everyone I work with, especially my dedicated colleagues; the Trusts Board of Trustees, President and CEO Robert Steigmeyer, and the senior leadership team.In September, we hosted the members of the Presidents Society to recognize the strong engagement from some of our most generous donors. It was a wonderful night that reminded us how lucky we are to have their support now and in the future.I also want to take a moment to thank the Trust team for their flexibility and adaptability throughout this year of transition. Over the last several months, we have restructured roles and duties to extend our focus on multiple aspects of philanthropy, including events, major gifts, planned gifts, and annual appeals. Accomplishing this structural shift took the commitment and teamwork of everyone involved. To focus on our many priorities, we also reduced our annual fundraising events from eight to six per year to streamline efforts in several areas. Looking toward to the next five years, we will embrace a $20 to $25 million comprehensive fundraising campaign that supports the health systems strategic plan. Our key fundraising priorities will focus on strengthening resources including, but not limited to, The Family Place, the Family Health Center and Dental Clinic, Cardiovascular Institute, Payson Center for Cancer Care, emergency care, and Skilled and Restorative Care. Our team is ready for this exciting challenge, and Im gratified to be part of it. I could not be more pleased to be working for this health system, with my colleagues, who welcomed me with such warmth. Most significantly, our success over the past year, including surpassing our budgeted fundraising goal, was made possible through the generous contributions of more than 3,115 donors. We could not have done this without you!Veronica L. Rosa, EdD CHIEF ADVANCEMENT OFFICER'
