b'19Regina MartinIn March 2021, thousands of Granite State residents descended on New Hampshire Motor Speedway to receive vaccinations against COVID-19. The event marked an important step toward a return to normalcy. Concord Hospital Health System employee Regina Martin was a major player in that effort, as director of pharmacy operations, including setting up a makeshift pharmacy as a hub for distributing vaccine doses. For her work, Martin, who began as a pharmacist at Concord Hospital in 1999 and is now administrative director of operations for Pharmacy Services, Respiratory Therapy Services, and Clinical Nutrition Services, was recognized as New Hampshire Pharmacist of the Year in 2021. For years, Martin has supported the initiatives of the Trust. She is a member of the Pedaling for Payson Committee and the Trust Scholarship Fund Sub-Committee, a past member of the Golf Committee, and has participated in the RockN Race and Pedaling for Payson events many times. Most recently, Martin joined the Trusts Board of Trustees, an appointment that makes her feel both honored and eager. What I bring to the table is a deep understanding of the inner workings of Concord Hospital Health System, says Martin, a Philadelphia native who studied pharmacy as an undergrad at Temple University before earning a PharmD from Shenandoah University and a masters in healthcareRegina Martin, PharmDriding at Pedaling for Paysonadministration from Southern New Hampshire University. By having that knowledge, it allows me to have a different focus coming to the board and thinking about where our monies will be best used.Outside of work, Martin has participated in 14 Ironman Triathlons, including the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. She is also a member - and past president - of the New Hampshire Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She looks forward to using her energy and expertise to further the mission ofthe Trust. It has become quite important to me over the last few years, she says, to help make sure that the health system is set up for the future and is here for our community for years to come.(continued on next page)'
